Biography: Pianist Jiwon Lee has extensive experience as a soloist and collaborative pianist. Ms. Lee’s accomplishments include winning American Protégé International Concerto Competition 2020 in NYC and the International Piano Workshop competition in Varna, Bulgaria, with a performance of Mozart’s Piano Concerto K. 488 with the Vratsa Orchestra and the Varna Philharmonic Orchestra. She was also the first place winner in the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education music competition in Korea.

Ms. Lee earned the Master of Music degree in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music from the University of Wisconsin. While at UWM, Ms. Lee was a pianist for the Leonard Sorkin International Institute of Chamber Music and held a teaching assistant position.

Ms. Lee is alumni in the Collaborative Institute Program, Source Song Festival. Ms. Lee’s extensive teaching experience includes instruction at the University of Wisconsin and piano faculty of the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. Based in Milwaukee, Ms. Lee also was a staff pianist with the String Academy of Wisconsin, KUMC as well as Milwaukee Ballet. Currently, Ms. Lee is a Thursday Musical Artist, pianist at Northeast UMC and Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota, pursuing her DMA degree in Collaborative Piano and Coaching under Dr. Timothy Lovelace.
