Considered a "vocal standout" by The Washington Post, soprano Emily Riley finds herself at home on the concert and operatic stage. Native to the Washington D.C. Metro area, her operatic roles include Governess (Turn of the Screw), Contessa Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Mother (Hansel and Gretel), Mme Silberklang (Der Shauspieldirektor) and Cathleen (Riders to the Sea). She was an Encouragement Award recipient from the Metropolitan Opera Council DC District Auditions in 2014. That same year, Emily participated in the Baldwin Wallace Art Song Festival and was a Schubert Fellow at Songfest in Los Angeles, CA.  A sincere enthusiast of classical song old and new, she was the soprano soloist for William Kenlon’s Sunflower Poem on the New Works concert at the University of Maryland. Emily holds a Bachelor of Music from Towson University and Master of Solo Voice from the University of Maryland.
