OpenSource: A Dominick Argento Celebration

Source Song Festival's opening event "OpenSource" celebrates the man regarded as the preeminent composer of lyric opera and one of Minnesota's most acclaimed citizens: Pulitzer Prizing winning composer Dominick Argento

In collaboration with the University of Minnesota School of Music, the works Letters from ComposersThree Meditations, and A Few Words About Chekhov are showcased by interviews hosted by Brian Newhouse with Argento and the premiering artists, followed by performances of these text-driven, smart, sometimes funny, always engaging works.

Interviews with, and performances by: Håkan Hagegård, Martin Katz, Maria Jette, Adriana Zabala, Jeffrey Van, Michael Slattery and Jesse Blumberg.
