Source Moment: The Warren Jones masterclass was one of the best musical experiences I've had. His expertise in everything from piano and vocal expertise, to the history of the piece, to the language and its nuances was astounding. What I loved best though was how he took all of those things and applied them to each piece in the masterclass to tell the song's story with true artistry.

In actuality, that was the biggest take away I had from the whole Source Song festival: Artistry. Every masterclass, coaching, and lecture was curated to approach artistry from every angle. Each clinician not only shared their expertise, but helped each participant apply it to their music. I have laminated my notes from every event I attended at Source Song so I can apply these techniques for the rest of my career. I learned what it is to be a true artist from true artists. I intend to come back as many years as I can to continue to grow in artistry and creativity. What better take away could any festival or program offer?
